Blind brothers attacked

Two blind brothers have been injured during an aggravated burglary at their home in County Antrim.

Two men in their 20s forced their way into the house at Glenville Parade, Newtownabbey, shortly after 7.30pm last night.

One of the brothers, aged 38, suffered a broken arm in the attack.

His 42-year-old brother sustained bruising to his head and body.

The burglars ransacked the property, before escaping with a sum of money.

The PSNI have appealed for witnesses.

The brothers, who are now being treated in hospital have been described as being "extremely shaken" by their ordeal.
