Call centre to recruit 80 new multi-lingual staff

A Belfast call centre today announced 80 new multi-lingual jobs.

TeleTech UK is recruiting staff who are fluent in 15 European languages as well as English to cope with a growth in existing contracts and new contracts.

The outsource company, which employs around 500 people at its base in the north of the city in Duncairn Gardens, wants to fill the posts within the next month.

New employees will provide technical support for clients around the world.

Native speakers in Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, or Turkish are being sought.

"These are excellent opportunities for qualified multilingual candidates," said Craig Reines, Senior Vice President for Service Delivery at the US owned company.

He added: "With the downturn in the global economy we are particularly pleased and excited to be able to introduce these positions into the Belfast job market."

The company is a subsidiary of TeleTech Holdings headquartered in Colorado which employs 37,000 people speaking 25 languages in 17 countries around the world.
