Croke Park has emerged as a viable alternative for Leinster and Ulster if their Heineken Cup games have to be moved from the RDS and Ravenhill respectively this weekend.
A senior GAA source confirmed that its central council could expedite the matter one way or the other if such an approach was received.
A precedent for playing stand-alone rugby matches at the stadium was set as recently as last April when Leinster and Munster played their Heineken Cup semi-final there.
