A second man has died in hospital as a result of the high-speed smash in a stolen car earlier this week.

Patrick McCallister (24) from Dunmurry, near Belfast, died yesterday as a result of his injuries from the horrific crash involving six young men in Co Antrim.

The other fatality was officially confirmed yesterday as 23-year-old Conor Rules from Dundrod, who died hours after the crash on Monday. The Subaru Impreza car ploughed through a hedge and burst into flames in a field off the Leathemstown Road near Dundrod just after 6am on Monday.

Four of the men were flung from the car and one of the men, who had attempted to flee the scene, was found half a mile away with head injuries.
