Four Chinese nationals to stand trial over cannabis find

Friday, 27 November 2009

Four Chinese nationals are to stand trial charged with offences linked to the discovery of hundreds of cannabis plants at houses in Londonderry and Limavady earlier this year.

The two male and two female co-defendants pleaded not guilty to a number of charges including supplying, possessing and producing cannabis on dates between April of last year and January of this year.

The plants, which had the potential to produce almost £1 million worth of cannabis, were found in houses at Talbot Park, Templeard and Columba Terrace in Derry and at NewtownRoad in Limavady earlier this year.
