Gregory Campbell’s ‘£77,000 in second home claims’
Thursday, 28 May 2009
East Londonderry MP Gregory Campbell made second homes claims of more than £77,000 over four years, the Daily Telegraph has said.
The Expenses Files published by the paper also say that the DUP man claimed £11,500 in hotel bills between 2005 and 2006, before moving into a flat in London.
He also racked up £4,675 on furniture and appliances including TVs and a DVD player, the paper stated.
On day 20 of its revelations the newspaper listed the names of 60 MPS in alphabetical order from A-C, including Mr Campbell.
The Londonderry-based politician made second home claims to the tune of £77,260 between 2004 and 2008, according to the figures.
Mr Campbell was unavailable for comment last night when contacted by the Belfast Telegraph.

No Silly Billy. The obly shame willbe if the same voters re-elect them next time round in full knowledge of their greed and corruption. A pity there won't be an election for a year - voters' memories tend to be short.

With all this money he's getting he will maybe end up building a house on Mahee Island beside Stephen Nolan's!

It would be quicker for the Daily Telegraph to publish a list of MPs that haven't abused the expenses system.....or would that be a very, very short list indeed?? Has any MP shown genuine remorse? I think they are more ashamed they got caught than anything!
