Hate-mongers tell ethnic minorities to leave the country
Friday, 10 July 2009
Ethnic minorities have been issued with a chilling threat to get out of Northern Ireland from young loyalists, it has been revealed.
A letter from the youth wing of the UDA warned foreigners to leave the “Queen’s country” before July 12, a support group said.
It follows the flight of more than 100 Romanians after their Belfast homes were attacked recently.
A note to community organisations last week stated: “No sympathy for foreigners, get out of our Queen’s country before our bonfire night (July 11) and parade day (July 12). Other than that your building will be blown up.
“Keep Northern Ireland white. Northern Ireland is only for white British.”
The letter was received by the Belfast Islamic Centre, the Polish Association and Indian Community Centre.
It was marked Ulster Young Militants and bore the logo of far-right group Combat 18.
The police have said no organised group was behind the violence in south Belfast which sparked the departure of the Romanian Roma.
The Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities has disputed that during a meeting in Belfast yesterday.
“I think there is no doubt it was organised against those families,” spokesman Patrick Yu said.
He said the latest letter was simply designed to scare people and pointed out that usually when an attack was planned the perpetrators issued no warning.
“It really is more about trying to reignite the issue.”
The attacks on the homes of the Roma people in the mainly Protestant Village area of Belfast were publicised around the world.
Victims of the attacks were sheltered in a church, subsequently damaged by vandals, and a leisure centre before being given emergency housing.
It followed claims that Northern Ireland was the race-hate capital of Europe.

These idiots don't seem to realise that more Norn Irish people work abroad than we have ethnic minorities. I can just imagine the uproar if say the same thing happened in Spain America or even Saudi.

I think what a lot of people who post here need to do is go and travel to an Islamic country, India and Poland and try and find a job and somewhere to stay. You will soon find out that what we all take for granted in N. Ireland you will not be able to do in those countries. You will also find that they all have their own form of racism among and against the working classes and you will begin to think that maybe wee Seamus and wee Billy aren't that bad after all.

Keep Northern Ireland white. Northern Ireland is only for white British.
I suppose these people would want nothing to do with a Dutch king?

It was because of this type of behaviour that we moved to Canada. My family has friends of many cultures ie: german, ukrainian, native, east indian, african, phillippino the list is endless. These young thugs should learn some culture it is a big world out there, maybe if they stepped outside the box they would realize this.

This is beyond embarassing, has N.Ireland not had enough conflict over the years! The whole story of the Roma's has been plastered overy every paper in North America. Shame on the people who did this.

Well it was only a matter of time before an apologist for this kind of behaviour offered us all the benefit of his wisdom. So, Cliff - if you read the comments again you'll find they're largely based on the content and context of the article, one paragraph of which reads No sympathy for foreigners, get out of our Queens country before our bonfire night (July 11) and parade day (July 12). Other than that your building will be blown up. "
If the cap fits etc...

Cliff - there's no anti-Britishness here so stop trying to hide behind that. As for anti-orange, well... it's the main cause of sectarian hatred in Ireland so it is only right and proper that it be exposed for what it (and its supporters) are: tiny-minded bigots that we can all do without.

Only some of the contributors on here could twist a disgraceful attack on immigrants into an attack on all things British and Orange. Those in glass houses shouldn`t throw stones and drop your bitterness.

Gerry you are being a bit kind and lenient are you not? Only 100 years??

Good God. Seriously like. Those "people" need to get their heads checked.

The parades are on the 13th this year and the writer doesn't seem to have a very good grasp of English. Who wrote this letter?

When taking the stance of a Neo-Nazi, remember Hitler didn't just want to exterminate non-whites (that you feel must leave the 'Queen's Country' as you so proudly put it) but other 'inferior races'. So why don't you look up the list (if you can actually read), you never know you might be on it. If everyone should take heed to your economy wizening efforts then be prepared to be waiting a while in any A+E on bonfire night to be treated if you scorch more than just your sovereign ringed fingers.

I wonder how many of these so called C18 eat curries, kebabs etc.? As far as I am concerned they do not speak for my family or anyone that I know.

Stop calling Combat 18 a loyalist group. They are anything but. Every loyalist I know is disgusting at the actions of this group and hate the veneration of Nazi love that these young idiots have. True loyalists fought against the Nazis for the rights of mankind they most certainly did not embrace the Nazis for tea and social merriment.
