The sister of tragic model Katy French has spoken of her agonising grief eight months later. She told how the pain has only deepened in the time since her sister has passed away.

Katy (24) died in the arms of her sister Jill (22) in Our Lady's Hospital in Navan Co Meath four days after a suspected drug overdose.

In a message on a bebo page the young woman has spoken of her continued battle to deal with Katy's death. "I feel so far away babes," she said. "It just gets harder and I miss you."

Jill was very close with her model sister and in recent days she has visited the bebo page "Katy French RIP" which is dedicated to Katy.

It is believed that Jill regularly visits the website to read people's comments of support.

Two similar websites that are dedicated to the stunning blonde still receive hundreds of posts a week.

The majority of the messages are from people who never met the model. They are strangers to the family but they feel that they have been touched by Katy's tragic death.

"It's phenomenal that, after most of the hype has died down people are still taking the time to go on to the websites and leave a touching message," said a source.

"Katy's family, and in particular Jill, get a lot of comfort from the comments. It makes them realise they are not the only ones missing her."

Katy died on December 6 in Jill's arms after being in a coma.

She had suffered a brain haemorrhage after collapsing at a house party just days after her 24th birthday.

The Assets girl became one of Ireland's best-known models and socialites and she became loved by a new audience after appearing in RTE's Celebrities Go Wild.
