Home of elderly DUP councillor attacked
Thursday, 3 July 2008
A window on 77-year-old Woolsey Smith's home in Tandragee, Co Armagh, was smashed during the incident and a rope tied in the shape of a noose was also left outside the house.
The words "traitor" and "DUP/IRA" were also daubed on the home of his son, former Craigavon Mayor Robert Smith.
Woolsey Smith said: "This is very sinister. The noose really upset me badly and I can't imagine that there are people out there so sick.
"It's very distressing for a man of my age, I'm 77."
