A south Belfast man put a gun to his son's head in a drunken row over noise, the High Court has heard.
The 49-year-old accused was alleged to have lifted the weapon when tempers flared as the family watched boxing at the weekend.
Police found a long-barrelled pellet gun in a flower bed outside the house in the Dunmurry area.
The man, who cannot be named to protect his children's identities, is charged with possessing a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He faces two further counts of aggravated assault on his wife and daughter.
With the accused's daughter now wanting to withdraw her statement to police, it was claimed the man's wife feels under emotional pressure to follow suit.
Bail was refused.
