Manhunt underway for armed raiders

A manhunt is underway by detectives in the for two armed raiders who tied up a couple during a house-raid.

The masked men who were brandishing sawn-off shotguns broke into the family home on the Dublin Road in Antrim and demanded money.

They tied up the homeowner's 29-year-old son and his 20-year-old girlfriend while they ransacked the house before stealing a Range Rover and making their getaway with a substantial amount of cash.

The incident happened at about 12.30am.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have witnessed any suspicious activity to contact them.
