Masked robbery gang break woman's rib

A woman is recovering from a broken rib after she was attacked and tied up by masked men who broke into her Co Tyrone home.

She was in bed at Killyclogher Road near Mountfield, Omagh at about 11pm on Wednesday when she heard a noise at the door.

She went to investigate and was confronted in the hallway by three masked men who had burst in. She was then struck with a stick by one of the men who then demanded money.

They dragged her into a bedroom and tied her ankles and hands with scarves and then ransacked the house. She sustained a head injury and a broken rib.

Anyone who noticed a vehicle at the house on Wednesday is asked to contact police.
