Musicians to strike the right notes at Camerata

More than 60 musicians from across the globe have converged on Co Down for one of the hottest events in Ulster's classical music calendar - Clandeboye Festival.

The courtyard at Clandeboye was abuzz yesterday as pianos arrived and the marquee raised for the week-long classical music festival led by chamber orchestra Camerata Ireland.

A host of world-class soloists will perform on stage and tutor young musicians contending for the Clandeboye Young Musician of the Year title - names such as Korean violinist Chee Yun, cellist Andres Diaz, clarinetist Michel Lethiec and Belfast-born pianist Barry Douglas, who will give his annual sold-out recital.
