Turning the other cheek is posing few problems for hardy Irish volunteers.
Within three days of going "live", a website seeking Irish participants for two mass-nude photoshoots in Dublin and Cork has already signed up almost 1,900 volunteers.
And the numbers are set to rise between now and June when the events take place.
Last week, controversial US artist Spencer Tunick -- renowned for elaborate still images of multiple nude figures in public all over the world -- announced his first back-to-back city project in Dublin and Cork.
By the weekend, 1,359 volunteers had signed up at www.spencertunickireland.ie for Dublin and 539 for Cork event at the private photo shoots.
All volunteers must be over 18 years old and Mr Tunick has said he does not want exhibitionists or nudists taking part.
They have been promised a free limited edition print of the mass-nude shoot. The sites have not been announced yet.
