A new Belfast tour is literally making 'a big splash' and proving a 'quacking' experience.
The Belfast Splash Tours take passengers onto the River Lagan in a specially converted amphibious bus.
As witty tour guide Harry Winchester says: "You've all heard the expression, 'coming up the Lagan in a bubble'......well we're going to take you up the Lagan in a bus!'
With captain George Barlowe at the helm, Harry takes passengers on a memorable excursion aboard the yellow vessel, appropriately named 'Duckling'.
Tour director Aidan McCormack said: "It has taken over a year to get the tour on the road, between sorting out the required legislation, vehicle conversion, promotion and marketing.
"It's a specialist amphibious vehicle manufactured in Florida. Its basically a modern interpretation of the DUKW vehicle used during World War Two.
"Locals account for a higher percentage of customers than they do on the other tour buses. Belfast people are used to seeing their own city from the main roads and thoroughfares but this gives them the opportunity to see the city from a different perspective and to appreciate the regeneration of the River Lagan
The tours run five times a day - at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm - seven days a week. The departure point is Chichester Street (beside the Victoria Centre). Pre-booking as advised as the 'Duckling' has a maximum of 26 seats.
