Appeal over gang attack on teenager in west Belfast

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was punched and kicked after he left a bar in west Belfast.

Officers at Woodbourne are investigating the attack which took place in the Monagh Link area on Monday, October 21.

"At around 2am, a 19-year-old man left the Trinity Lodge bar on Monagh Link and was standing outside the gates when a group of males assaulted him," a PSNI spokesman said.

"He was punched to the ground and kicked in the face and had to be taken to hospital for treatment. He was unable to describe his assailants."

As it was closing time at the bar police are hoping someone may have witnessed the assault.
