An armed masked gang have stolen jewellery after an aggravated burglary at the home of a 61-year-old woman in Belfast.

It happened in the Deramore Drive area of south Belfast on Monday evening.

Shortly before 10pm three masked men burst into a house armed with a gun and machete before taking a 'large amount of jewellery'.

A 61-year-old woman in the house at the time was uninjured during the incident but left shaken.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
