Ban for child porn accused man

A man accused of having child pornography has been banned from unapproved contact with anyone under the age of 18.

Andrew Stewart appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court yesterday to face a charge of possessing an indecent photograph of children.

The 45-year-old, of Donegall Road in the city, attended in a wheelchair for his first appearance. The alleged offence relates to an incident in February of this year.

Stewart, who did not have to enter the dock, was granted continuing bail to return to court next month.

As part of his release conditions he must stay at his home address or one agreed by the relevant authorities.

He is also to have no contact with any child unless approved by social services.
