Over 110 pipe bands huffed and puffed in search of glory at the European Pipe Band Championships at the weekend.
The prestigious event took place at Stormont estate, the second year in a row Belfast has hosted the competition, with a festival entitled 'Piping is Class' also taking place over the past four days.
As well as the bands, there was a large turnout of supporters and spectators for the fiercely contested competition on Saturday.
Pipes and bands entertained those in attendance and onlookers were also treated to a Highland dance competition.
Lord Mayor of Belfast, Niall O Donnghaile, was honorary 'Chieftain' at the championships.
He told the Belfast Telegraph: "It was a brilliant day with good weather which helps."
