Belfast can’t miss this eye-catching artist McCrory

A Belfast artist is making an exhibition of himself to highlight his latest collection of work to be shown at Gormley’s Fine Art house.

Regarded as one of Ireland’s most exciting young talents, Francis McCrory has created a massive poster of himself, alongside an artist’s easel, to promote his new exhibit being shown at the Lisburn Road gallery.

Decorating a corner of Glengall Street, Francis told the News Letter the huge 48-sheet image is “really more a piece of installation art than an advertisement”.

“My work focuses on the city and it’s appropriate that the art itself becomes a part of the urban landscape,” he said of his new collection entitled Electricityscapes.
