Belfast family's hostage raid terror

A family are recovering from an overnight hostage ordeal after a masked gang forced a mother to remove cash from her workplace.

She was held with her husband, 16-year-old son, 13- year-old daughter and her friend, also 13, in her home in Slievegallion area of Andersonstown, west Belfast for almost 12 hours.

On Sunday morning, the gang then forced the woman to take money from a shop where she works in the Westwood Centre.

Police said the victims had been left uninjured but badly shaken.
