Police are treating a fire at a disused pub in Co Antrim as arson

Police are treating a fire at a disused pub in Co Antrim as arson.

Extensive damage was caused to the property at North Street in Carrickfergus, in Co Antrim, which was well alight by the time fire crews arrived at the scene.

The blaze broke out during the early hours of Saturday morning.

There were no reports of any injuries.

A spokeswoman for the PSNI has appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
