A social club has been destroyed by fire in west Belfast.
Robbers are suspected of trying to take cigarettes from the Twinbrook premises before it was set ablaze.
It has been open more than 30 years and the jobs of part-time staff are now under threat. The building has been reduced to charred wreckage.
At one stage, 35 firefighters using five appliances fought the blaze.
It took about two-and-a-half hours to bring the fire at the single storey building under control.
A fire service spokeswoman confirmed: "It is believed that the fire had been started deliberately."
A police spokeswoman said the fire was reported at 3.50am on Friday. Detectives believe entry was gained to the premises and a till and gaming machine forced open before the building was set alight. It is not known if anything was taken.
