Belfast Zoo is to reopen to the public tomorrow after being forced to close due to the severe weather conditions.
The zoo shut on Friday, March 22 after heavy blizzards left it covered in two foot of snow and caused significant damage to facilities.
Since then the zoo team, other teams from Belfast City Council and external contractors have been working to clear the site and repair damage to make the site accessible and safe for the animals and visitors.
The damage left the zoo shut over its busy Easter period.
Zoo manager Mark Challis said: "We had originally aimed to reopen on Thursday, April 4 but there is still some essential maintenance work outstanding.
"Although this has been an extremely disappointing and difficult time for the zoo and for our visitors, huge efforts have been made to ensure all our animals continue to be well cared for. We look forward to welcoming everyone back."
Tomorrow, the zoo will have a full schedule of feeding times for visitors.
