A bomb found during a security alert in Co Armagh 'could have killed'.

Army bomb teams discovered and made safe the device in the Carrigart Manor area of Craigavon on Tuesday afternoon.

PSNI inspector Leslie Badger said those responsible had "little regard for human life"

"This is a residential area and we are all extremely thankful that this device was detected and that no one was killed or seriously injured.

"The consequences had this device detonated do not bear thinking about. Obviously the people responsible have little regard for human life."

The bomb has been taken away for examination.

Police have appealed for information.
