Boy (3) hit by car is on the mend

A toddler was taken to hospital by ambulance after being struck by a car during rush hour in Belfast city centre yesterday.

The three-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle in Cromac Street at around 6pm yesterday evening.

The child was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment to minor injuries described as "non life-threatening".

A spokesman from the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust last night confirmed that the child was in a "very stable condition".
