A Londonderry digital company has announced plans to almost double its workforce.
Learning Pool is about to launch its Rising Star Programme which will create employment for 30 young people.
Aimed specifically at school leavers and those looking for work experience, the programme offers a unique opportunity to join Learning Pool’s technical support team.
They are full time positions and candidates will be paid, as well as receiving on-the-job and structured training during the time they work at the company.
The programme is entirely funded by Learning Pool.
Aine Bradley, Learning Pool’s Head of Customer Service said: “Our young people are an untapped resource of creativity and talent and I’m excited about our plans to train and support them. The programme will help our Rising Stars make the step into work, learn about life in a high growth tech company and acquire useful technical and customer service skills.”
These new appointments build on the company’s commitment to boost the current staff number of 35.

Paul describes Learning Pool’s ethos as being “challenging, rewarding and fun”.
He said that the team aspire to make the business a great place to work and one where they can achieve ambitions.

Founded in 2006, the company provides online learning services to more than 300 organisations in the UK.
In 2013 more than a million people will undergo job-related training provided by Learning Pool based at the premises of the former City Factory.
