Disabled OAP dies in road accident

An elderly disabled woman has died after a traffic accident in Lisburn

An elderly disabled woman has died after a road traffic collision in Lisburn.

Ruby Magill, 82, was in her wheelchair in the back of a taxi on July 11 during the accident on Antrim Street. She died in hospital on Tuesday after sustaining a serious leg injury in the crash.

Police investigating the circumstances of her death believe that there were a number of other vehicles travelling on Antrim Street at the time, as well as pedestrians walking in the area.

Officers would like to speak to the drivers of these vehicles or anyone else who noticed the black Renault Traffic taxi stopping suddenly at Antrim Street adjacent to the Railway Bridge.
