The accused is also facing a charge of being concerned in the supply of cannabis resin on August 25 this year.
A police officer told the court he saw Mr Dunlop at Ballymena Police Station on Wednesday and believed he can connect the accused to the charges.
The court heard there are two other co-accused and all three are due to appear back at Ballymena Magistrates Court on October 12.
Mr Dunlop, who was given bail, was ordered to live in Ballymena's Lanntara estate, surrender his passport, report to police three times a week and have no contact with his co-accused.
