Emergency crews stood down after initial reports of plane in trouble

Emergency crews were dispatched to Belfast International Airport earlier this evening after initial reports of a plane in difficulty.

Crews were sent to the airport at around 9pm but were stood down around 20 minutes later.

They were dispatched after reports of a cargo plane in difficulty.

A spokesman for the airport said emergency procedures were implemented as a precaution but were stood down a short time later.
