Exotic birds stolen from pet shop

Two cockatiels and an Indian ring neck parrot have been stolen from a pet shop in Co Down

Three exotic birds have been stolen from a pet shop in Co Down.

An Indian ring neck parrot and two cockatiels were taken from the Kilkeel Pet Centre in an overnight raid.

The birds had all been hand-reared.

Police said a large quantity of dog food was also taken in the incident, which happened some time between Tuesday evening and Wednesday night.

The culprit or culprits forced entry to the store on Rooney Road.

Officers have appealed for anyone with information about the whereabouts of the missing birds to come forward.
