Fire breaks out at ice cream shop

Fire crews are tackling a blaze in Belfast

A fire has erupted at an ice cream shop and shoe repair store in Belfast.

Fire crews were battling the blaze on the Lisburn Road.

The buildings were described as "well alight" as crews fought to get the flames under control.

Flames engulfed the buildings on the stretch of road between the junctions of Adelaide Avenue and Surrey Street.

Police were forced to close the Lisburn Road in both directions as the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the fire.

Diversions have been put in place for motorists.
