A grieving Co Tyrone woman has spoken of her disgust at Facebook’s decision not to remove an online group dedicated to jokes about dead babies.
Sabrina McKenna (32) from Omagh, and her partner Ivan Spence, are mourning the tragic loss of their son Jamie, who was stillborn on June 28.
Sabrina is one of 5,000 members of a new Facebook group called Angels at Rest, set up two weeks ago by north Belfast man Paul Keers in response to the page Dead Baby Jokes, which has more than 25,000 members.
“It’s sick,” Sabrina said.
“We have all reported it to Facebook. I know everyone has rights, but a page like this is totally wrong.”
A Facebook spokesman said that while the page may be offensive to some, it does not violate their policies.
