An unsigned Northern Ireland band who recently supported Kaiser Chiefs at Feile have been selected to play at this year's Bestival on the Isle of Wight.

Go Swim, a self-produced four-piece, will perform on the highly-esteemed, talent-scouting BBC Introducing stage.

Championing the finest new music and fresh talent, selected artists for BBC Introducing stages have all gained extensive BBC radio coverage and been judged by an top panel including producers and presenters from across the BBC Radio 1, Radio 2, 1Xtra and 6Music networks.

Go Swim, with their shimmering guitars, boy/girl dual harmonies, driven bass and bouncing drums, have been placed high up the bill, with a 5.10pm slot on Sunday, September 7. The band is made up of energetic frontman Steven Smith, guitarist and vocalist Julianne Shawe, guitarist Des Hesketh, and drummer and producer Stefan Malecki.

Steven said: "There are so many bands on the line-up that have influenced us, most notably Foals, who played the BBC Introducing stage in 2007 and are this year's headliners."

Likened to Bombay Bicycle Club, Foals and Northern Ireland's Two Door Cinema Club, Go Swim released debut EP Animal in June 2014 to rave reviews.
