Northern Ireland teenagers claim they have no time to exercise: Ethan Kivlahan, 14 from Aquinus Grammar School (centre) takes it easy, while his school chum Sean Lacey, also 14, and Steph Fawcett, 17, from Methodist College, ditch the devices and get active. Recent research by Action Cancer has revealed that young people in Northern Ireland spend three hours a day watching TV, playing games and on devices, but claim they have no time to exercise. The survey was carried out among 450 young people on behalf of its Health Action Programme.

Tourism Minister Arlene Foster has told an audience of influential international and Italian media that Northern Ireland is developing a strong position in the global tourism and sports events industry. The Minister was speaking in Milan at a media launch announcing the full race route of the Giro dItalia. The Grand Tour cycling race, one of the worlds biggest sporting spectacles which will see riders battle for the coveted Maglia Rosa, begins in Belfast with the Grand Partenza or Big Start in May 2014, with the route taking in iconic locations in Northern Ireland, including Titanic Belfast, Parliament Buildings, the Giants Causeway and the North Coast Road.
