While bikini-wearing Europeans were basking in temperatures of up to 29C in parts of southern Spain, winter woollies made an unwelcome comeback to Northern Ireland, with the mercury hitting a high of just 12C.
Still, it couldn't dampen the spirits of the thousands of people who took part in Easter parades from Bangor to Derry.
After an Easter weekend washout, the miserable wet weather is set to batter Northern Ireland for the rest of the week — making last month’s heatwave a hazy memory.
