There was a cross-community dimension to Belfast's St Patrick’s Day Festival with Ulster-Scots Highland dancers performing and offering lessons alongside Irish dancers and singing stars Amelia Lily and The Voice UK finalist, David Julien at Custom House Square.
The Belfast St Patrick's Day parade kicked off at midday from Belfast City Hall, with the concert starting at 1pm.
Other events in the city include superstar Van Morrison performing at the Europa Hotel dinner and show; Clannad in concert with the Ulster Orchestra at the Waterfront Hall and a ceili dance at the Ulster Hall.
