An event to consider race issues in Northern Ireland has been organised by the Equality Commission at the Island Civic Centre, Lisburn.

Individuals from the black and minority ethnic community along with organisations working in the race sector attended this event and shared their views on issues facing the community in Northern Ireland.

Topics covered included the priority issues on race, the communication challenges, and ways of working in partnership with the Commission.

Discussions from the event will feed into the Commission’s promotional work on race over the coming two year period.
