A DUP Assembly member has left her husband for another man.
Ex-Antrim mayor ‘Glam' Pam Lewis walked out on hubby Ian earlier this month and into the arms of senior civil servant Michael Cameron.
We pictured the DUP golden girl — minus her wedding ring — and her lover leaving his east-Belfast apartment yesterday and getting into his blue Ford Mondeo car.
Rising political star Pam, a devout Christian and member of the Randalstown Free Presbyterian church, was unavailable for comment yesterday.
The 39-year-old mum of three young kids — who sits on the DUP executive — did not reply to our interview requests.
However her devastated husband Ian did talk to Sunday Life and confirmed his wife had walked out of the family home.
Speaking about raven-haired Pam from the doorstep of his house in a quiet cul-de-sac of Antrim town, Ian said: “She's not here at the moment.”
Then turning his attention to Michael Cameron — his wife's new love, he added: “I know what you know. I don't know where he lives, I don't care where he lives.
“I know nothing about the fella. But you will get his details on the website so you will. Facebook, whatever he is on.”
When we asked the jilted hubby to confirm he and his wife had separated he nodded his head and said “yeah”.
“I've no other comment to make at the moment because I am trying to sort things out,” said Ian. “You have your own sources. It's up to you guys. I have to speak to family members.”
A spokesman for the DUP said it does not comment on the private lives of party members.
But a senior party source said: “Pam's left her husband for another man. When we asked her she said, ‘There's no point in denying it'.”
Within two hours of Sunday Life contacting the DUP about glam Pam's relationship problems her Facebook page, on which new man Michael Cameron was listed as a friend, was closed down.
Pam is understood to have informed other DUP members of her decision to walk out on Ian last week.
She was absent from Stormont for a few days and only spent 20 minutes at a meeting of Antrim Borough Council on Thursday night.
Prior to the meeting she confessed to a number of politicians that she had left her devastated hubby.
After quitting the marital home Pam is understood to have been staying with her sister.
But all day yesterday her car was parked outside new man Michael Cameron's apartment.
She left the civil servant's ground floor flat around 4pm in his blue Mondeo after collecting items from her silver Skoda vehicle.
Pam is understood to have first met Michael while working at Stormont for DUP East Antrim MP Sammy Wilson.
Until her election to the Assembly last month she was Mr Wilson's office manager.
Her job involved arranging his busy diary and dispensing advice to constituents.
She worked out of the Stormont Assembly building where civil servant Michael is also based.
Pam first entered politics in 2005 when she was elected as a DUP councillor in Antrim.
A short time later she was made party secretary in Randalstown and assistant treasurer of the DUP South Antrim Association.
But since then her career has gone into overdrive.
Last year Pam was made Antrim mayor — a post she held until two weeks ago.
When she donned the chain of office proud husband Ian was waiting in the wings to congratulate the borough's new first citizen. He was also at her side when she welcomed the Queen to Belfast International Airport last October.
Last month the DUP golden girl was elected as an Assembly member for South Antrim polling 2,866 first preference votes.
After her election success close pal Sammy Wilson rushed through a crowd of supporters at the Valley Leisure Centre polling count to embrace the new MLA.
The Finance Minister then joked that Pam would have to give him a month's notice before leaving her role as his office manager.
Speaking about her election success, Pam said: “I thought I would do well but I did not think I would get to this stage. I know there are Roman Catholics who voted for me and that I have cross-community support. I hope that continues.”
