Man, 21, in hospital after assault

Three men were arrested after a driver was forced off the road and attacked in Ballygowan

A 21-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being assaulted in east Belfast.

Police said they were called to the scene in Albertbridge Road just before midday on Friday.

"At 11.55am police received a report that two males were being seriously assaulted by a group of approximately seven males at the junction of Albertbridge Road," a spokesman said.

One man was arrested at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to give information to the PSNI.
