A wedding photographer charged with assaulting his wife allegedly controlled her life and made her feel imprisoned, the High Court has heard.
The 24-year-old wife of Warren Feathers (39) claimed he did not allow her to contact family and friends, prosecutors said.
Feathers, of Riverbrook Drive, Moneymore, Co Londonderry, is alleged to have thrown a box at his wife's head and then struck her as she lay curled up.
She was said to have suffered bruising injuries during the incident last December.
Although it was confirmed that she has since made a statement withdrawing her complaint, a Crown lawyer said the case was still due to proceed.
The barrister opposed Feathers' bid to be released on bail.
Mr Justice Hart granted bail after noting how continued custody would cause problems for the couple's reconciliation.
Feathers was ordered to live in Cookstown and banned from going within 500ft of the marital home.
