Hi °C | Lo °C A Polish national who battered his cousin to death with his own crutch in what a Downpatrick Crown Court judge described as a “sustained and exceptionally violent attack” has been jailed for seven years.
After serving seven years in prison Mariusz Krzysztof Demski (37) will then serve another seven years of licensed parole.
Demski was convicted of the manslaughter of his cousin Krzysztof Zlotnicki in the Balfour Street home they shared in Newtownards on June 15 last year, after the jury acquitted him of murder.
