A man has died after the car he was driving collided with a lorry in Co Londonderry.

The smash happened on the Broad Road in Limavady at around 2.20pm on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim's Peugeot 306 collided with a Volvo lorry.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but has since died from his injuries.

The road remains closed, with diversions in place at the Cashel Road and the Dunhill Road junction.

Diversions are also in place at the Killane Roundabout and drivers are advised to expect delays in the area.
