Man dragged into alleyway and shot

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the legs in Belfast

A 37-year-old man has been shot in the legs in Belfast.

He was dragged into an alleyway in the Downfine Walk area of Ballymurphy and hit three times - in both calves and his left thigh.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A spokeswoman for the PSNI said the shooting happened shortly before 6.30pm on Friday.

It is believed two men were involved in the attack.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
