A man arrested over a murder in west Belfast in 1975 has been released pending a report to prosecutors.
Paul Crawford, 25, was shot dead on the Falls Road during a feud between the INLA and the Official IRA.
The suspect, 54, was arrested in west Belfast on Tuesday morning and taken to Antrim police station for questioning.
The PSNI Serious Crime Branch is reinvestigating the murder after information was forwarded by the Historical Enquiries Team.
Mr Crawford, a Catholic and official republican activist, was shot on the junction of the Falls Road and Springfield Road outside Beagan's Bar as he sold copies of the United Irishman newspaper.
