A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a double shooting in Bangor earlier this month.

Two men aged 24 and 33 were targeted as they sat in a car in the Eastway area of the Whitehill estate at around 12.45am on February 10.

The suspect, aged 41, was detained during the search of a property on the estate this morning. Officers also carried out a search in the nearby Kilcooley area, a PSNI spokeswoman said.

A number of items have been removed for examination.
