Man held over murder in Lithuania

A Lithuanian man has been arrested on suspicion of murder in Co Armagh

A Lithuanian man has been arrested in Northern Ireland in connection with a murder in his native country.

The suspect, 37, is wanted on a European Arrest Warrant by the authorities in Lithuania for questioning about the death of a man in 2005.

He was arrested after an operation at a house in Causanagh Road, Loughgall, Co Armagh.

The appeal for information to locate and apprehend the suspect was featured UK-wide on the BBC Crimewatch programme in February.

He has been taken to Lurgan police station to allow the arrest warrant to be processed.
