Man hurt during shooting attack

Detectives in south Belfast have appealed for anyone with information about the shooting to get in contact

A man has been slightly injured during a shooting attack as he left a football supporters club in Northern Ireland.

The 26-year-old was leaving the Glentoran supporters club on the Newtownards Road in Belfast in the early hours of the morning when two shots were fired in his direction.

The PSNI said the incident occurred some time between 12.30am and 12.45am.

The man was not hit by the gunfire but received a minor injury to his leg when he fell to the ground.

He was treated at the scene. Detectives in south Belfast have appealed for anyone with information to get in contact.
