A 24-year-old man has been remanded in custody after being charged with the rape of a 74-year-old woman at her home in Ballymena on Saturday.
Barry Johnston is also charged with aggravated burglary, possession of cannabis and a breach of an interim sexual offences prevention order.
A police constable at North Antrim Magistrates' Court yesterday said he could connect him with each of the charges.
A defence solicitor told the court he would not be making a bail application.
District Judge Richard Wilson remanded Mr Johnston in custody for a further four weeks. He will appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court via videolink on September 9. The court ordered that his address should not be made public.
