Missing man's body recovered in Donegal

A body found off the coast of Donegal at Greencastle was confirmed by gardai last night as missing Co Londonderry man, Gregory Burns.

The 37-year-old from Eglinton, who was known locally as Bolt, had been missing nearly a week.

He was last seen in the Carnmoney Road area of Eglinton on Tuesday, October 18.

His family had been increasingly concerned about his safety, although his death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out tomorrow.

According to the PSNI, who had been investigating the disappearance, Mr Burns' body was recovered by gardai after it washed up in the Greencastle area.
